An ERHS Senior has been named a top 300 Scholar in the 82nd Regeneron Science Talent Search.
This weekend, Campus Parent and Student Portals will have a new home page when users log on.
Gina Kuah, an AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) senior at Woodbury High School, has earned the Questbridge Scholarship that will provide her with full tuition, room and board, transportation, books and additional support as she heads to college next fall at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA.
There may be some rare storms or situations that require South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools) to cancel school and close all district buildings, programs and learning activities due to wind chill, snow, ice, hazardous roads, inclement weather or other situations.
SoWashCo Schools is in the final steps of drafting our 2023-24 school calendar. We utilized feedback from families, staff, and district leaders to create a proposed calendar option that has students start school next year after Labor Day. The final details of the calendar are being completed. We plan to bring the proposal to the School Board for the first reading of the calendar on Thursday, Feb. 2, with approval of the calendar on Thursday, Feb. 16.
Peter Leatherman, of The Morris Leatherman Company, will be presenting results from the community survey about Long Term Facilities Planning on Feb. 2, at the School Board meeting.
South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools) is partnering with Washington County Public Heath to host a free Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccination clinic at Crestview Elementary School from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23.
Randy Spring is helping his students at Liberty Ridge Elementary School (LRES) be seen, be heard and be bold while building lifelong skills in a fun and engaging way.
The new mural at East Ridge High School (ERHS) was envisioned, designed and created by ERHS visual arts students. The project began during the 2021-22 school year and was completed this past fall. More than 150 students were involved. Throughout the process students learned resiliency, collaboration and time management.
Priority Enrollment for the fall is now open. We invite you to learn more about your child’s boundary school by scheduling a tour where a school ambassador will guide you through the school and answer any questions you may have.
It is our desire to keep students in school and learning. Should the weather force a future cancellation, we will be implementing e-learning days.
Last month, students in grade 5 were invited to East Ridge, Park and Woodbury high schools to learn about all the musical opportunities available to them when they enter grade 6.

All schools are closed TODAY, Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, due to the wintry weather. Students should not report to school. All online learning activities are canceled and no new assignments will be posted.
